K.u.K. Café-Konditorei L. This place is packed, we walked upstairs and found the table and the waitress was very good and efficient in taking our order. The cake was so good but the lemonade was very refreshing and surprisingly went very well with the cake. Don't be discouraged by the chaos, it is worth the effort.
This terrific place is just up from St Stephen’s cathedral in Vienna and has traditional Austrian cakes and delicious coffee. The staff are all ages and dressed in traditional clothes which looks great. There is an upstairs section which is marvellous and has all the same fare as downstairs. Our tour guide recommended it as one of the three best traditional coffee venues. We ordered cakes too and the hot chocolate…
Went here to sooth my sweet tooth with a sachertorte. It was delicious. Perfectly chocolatey and sweet from the apricot filling. Staff's English is a bit rusty so be patient with them, can't expect everyone to know English after all!
