À deux pas du Graben, le Loos American Bar condense l’esprit viennois dans quelques mètres carrés signés Adolf Loos : marbre, bois sombre, miroirs et une élégance moderniste qui n’élève jamais la voix. On y vient pour un cocktail servi avec une précision presque architecturale, au comptoir serré où se croisent habitués, créatifs et amateurs d’histoire du design. Un lieu nocturne à la fois intime et iconique, parfaitement accordé au rythme contemporain de Vienne.

Since there's not much space inside, if you manage to snag a good spot early on, I think you'll have a great time. It's a place I'll definitely visit again when I return to Vienna, and I recommend it to everyone.
A tiny bar dating back to 1908 designed by an architect called Loos hence the name. About 6 x 4 m in size inside, the use of lighting and mirrors gives the impression that the bar is bigger. There are also seats outside. Cocktails in range of €12.50 to €16 or €17. We paid in cash though I think there is a minimum spend of €30 on cards.
