Installé sur la Wienzeile, Drechsler incarne la tradition viennoise du café-restaurant dans une version urbaine et contemporaine, avec ses banquettes élégantes et son comptoir animé qui accompagne la ville du matin tardif jusqu’au soir. On y vient pour une cuisine de brasserie à l’accent autrichien, précise et sans effet, et pour ce mélange très viennois de conversation feutrée et d’observation du rythme du Naschmarkt tout proche. Un lieu qui sait rester classique, tout en parlant le langage d’aujourd’hui.
I tried the coffee melange and the french toast. Portions were big, affordable, food was fresh and decent but unfortunately nothing so special about it. Interior was cozy and I got a table for 1 easily without a reservation. Staff was friendly. I think it was nice but ordinary, sadly couldn't undertand the hype.
