A fantastic opportunity to sample some fantastic wine in the natural beauty of the vineyards, overlooking Vienna. The Riesling was particularly good.
Wieninger am Nussberg captures Vienna at its most quietly idyllic: crisp whites and expressive Gemischter Satz poured among the vines, with the city unfolding below in soft panorama. The cuisine keeps an Austrian backbone—seasonal, precise, and unfussy—best enjoyed at a long table as daylight fades, when Nussberg’s wine‑culture feels less like an outing and more like a local ritual.
Visitor impressions
Our third stop on the Kahlberg wine tour. It had a good variety of wines, but the view was not as the other places. Worth the stop for the high quality wine.
Beautiful views and great wine, worth the hike from the bottom. If you are venturing through this part of the city from the D line, it's around 1.5 miles from the base to the vineyard. There are tons of other spots (some do not take card, only cash - euro only). The path up is a mix of dirt and street, the views are amazing but you may get slightly muddy if it rains. Worth it completely.
