Lovely restaurant with green views in the middle of the Vienna Prater park. We took a bus to the edge of the Prater park, then took a beautiful walk through the forest to get to the restaurant and then took about a 20 min walk bus back to the city center. The food was delicious and fresh.
Set at the edge of the Prater’s greenery, Lusthaus pairs an old Viennese outing tradition with a quietly contemporary sensibility—terrace tables, cyclists passing by, and an unhurried rhythm that feels distinctly local. Come for classic dishes and seasonal touches enjoyed in the open air, where the city’s café culture slips effortlessly into nature.
Visitor impressions
Nice Sunday afternoon, spent with friends. Food was great and the prices acceptable.
Very nice location, it's so nice to sit there on a cold day, watching from the window into the Prater, and imaging how the Caesar must have lived, 150 years ago. In addition, the puppy-seed cake is surprisingly delicious! Usually these types of cakes are dry, but this one is very soft and moist. Worth a try.
