Could choose the table ourselves, were quickly served. Food was tasty and quite cheap. A great option for a Café in Vienna that isn’t that overwhelmed by tourists.
Café Eiles is a grand, unhurried Kaffeehaus where time still seems to move at the pace of newspaper pages and silver trays. Come for the classical Viennese cake trolley, generous portions, and the quietly theatrical rhythm of waiters who know the tradition by heart. It’s an ideal address for slipping into the city’s living history—without stepping out of contemporary Vienna.
Visitor impressions
This is an excellent place for a place to sit down and eat breakfast. The atmosphere is great. Feels very traditional and spacious. The food is not absolutely great, nor is the coffee; but this is sort of reflected in the prices. Do not expect anything super fancy. The apple strudel was nice and the waiters were amazing - they made the experience. Thank you
Stepping into Café Eiles feels like entering one of Vienna's classic coffee houses, where tradition and elegance have been preserved for generations. Founded in 1901, the café has long been a favourite meeting place for writers, artists and politicians, and its timeless charm is still evident today. The photos beautifully capture the spacious historic interior, polished wooden furnishings, comfortable red banquettes…
