Ο Eissalon TICHY είναι ένα διαχρονικό στέκι της Βιέννης, όπου η τελετουργία του παγωτού συναντά τη χαλαρή αστική κομψότητα της πόλης. Εδώ αξίζει να σταθεί κανείς για τα θρυλικά Eismarillenknödel—βερίκοκο σε παγωμένη εκδοχή, με ακρίβεια ζαχαροπλαστικής και μια δόση βιεννέζικης νοσταλγίας που παραμένει απολύτως σύγχρονη. Ιδανικός σταθμός για μια ήρεμη απόδραση στο 10ο διαμέρισμα, ανάμεσα σε καθημερινές βόλτες και μικρές απολαύσεις.
5+ stars for the ice cream. Especially hazelnut, pistachio and strawberry is in my opinion the very best of all the ice salons in Vienna. I would give 3-4 stars for the back room where you can sit, since everything's very narrow and you have to wait even on normal days to get a seat. I tried the classic Eismarillenknödel. The apricot core, vanilla ice cream, and hazelnut coating are unlike any ice cream I have ever had. It is an interesting match of flavors, but on the sweeter side. The parlor is a stone's throw from the Reumannplatz station. There is a park nearby where you can sit and savour your dessert
Café Tichy is a classic spot with a nostalgic charm. Known for its iconic Eismarillenknödel, it delivers a unique and delicious treat you won’t easily find elsewhere. Service is quick and efficient, though the atmosphere can feel a bit old-fashioned. Definitely worth a visit for the dessert alone.
