Umarfisch am Naschmarkt absolutely wowed us, easily the best meal of my Vienna visits so far. We started with a refreshing Hugo spritz and a round of 8 oysters (two each: Fine de Claire No. 2, Huitre No. 2, Krystale No. 2, Gillardeau No. 2). Very good service! The waiters where very kind and serviceminded! The food (big fish/seafood plate and oysters like starter )was in summary tasty. The plates where warmed up and the atmosphere was great👍 In Vienna its difficult to find good fish/seafood restaurants, but this is one of the best that we tried👍
The risottos were delicious. The calamari and tuna tartare average. We found the cost a bit expensive overall and were stunned that the pre meal bread and tuna spread that were brought to us without our asking appeared on the final bill for 15EUR (including napkins and table cloth etc) This is the first time ever running into this issue.
