We are a team of Viennese people coming from diverse professional backgrounds who share the vision of putting quality back into the social media experience.Initially founded as digital communication agency with big corporate clients, our venture soon transformed into a start up dedicated to the development of CURATED CULTURES, the serviced infrastructure that underlies our flagship project Downtown Vienna.
We are pleased to help our clients demonstrate the currentness and diversity of their activities and topics. Since 2016 we are proud member of the Q21, the creative space of the MuseumsQuartier Wien - one of the largest districts for contemporary art and culture in the world.
Our office is located near the Karlsplatz in Vienna, but you can also find a digital representation of our work in the Electric Avenue at the MuseumsQuartier Wien.

How did you come up with the idea of Downtown Vienna?
It started with our own representation as a digital communications agency. We were looking for an alternative way to showcase our skills. Since the strategies for our clients were often based on a curatorial approach, we put this USP at the center of the idea.Sharing what we like also gave us the opportunity to show who we are as personalities. Soon we saw that a massive amount of information around arts and culture in Vienna is already present. Thats when we realized that we are onto something bigger.
What advantages do you see in content curation?
Fresh, attractive content has become the critical factor in the race for attention - it is the main driver for website traffic. But the creation of interesting content is expensive and happens often with delay. Updates with well curated content are often a brilliant complementary or even better approach. Not only because content curation is efficient, it also gives the original content more visibility.Why did you develop CURATED CULTURES?
There was no tool that fitted our needs. We wanted to create a bigger, crowdsourced picture that grows with time. So we were in need for an infrastructure that would allow us to organize and structure the content. Until today, we did not find another product that enables us to do so.The decision to invest into the development of the serviced infrastructure was also backed up by our wish to proceed with an entirely different approach. We noticed that the content disappears increasingly fast from timelines. Filters are becoming essential. But Algorithms are not only answer to the challenges of a massive content world.
